Graffiti Moon Update #2

Hi,

It's update time again and I want to update you about what's going on in Graffiti Moon so far. She still isn't aware that Ed is actually Shadow. But Lucy seems to be going off Shadow anyway and is now likes Ed. Yes, I still think this is the strangest plot and story line I've ever read.

Loads of things have happened in the book so far, including a psychopath who ruthlessly pierced Ed's ear with a compass while threatening Lucy. Ed is also trying to give Lucy clues about who he really is and Bert, his boss, who died in aisle 3 keeps 'giving advice' to Ed.

Ed tells Lucy that Shadow is planning to steal art equipment from her school, but Lucy still doesn't get that Ed is Shadow. She also starts to go off Shadow when she hears this news.

Characters:
Lucy- The girl who searched for Shadow, convinced that she'd like him, though she's never seen him before. AND punched Ed in the nose after a night out went wrong.

Ed- Is secretly Shadow, went out with Beth, broke up with her and now likes Lucy but is sure she won't like him once he tells her he's Shadow.

Leo- Is secretly Poet, he writes small poems next to each graffiti art Shadow paints, he also makes up poems in his own time and now likes Jazz (Lucy's psychic friend).

Jazz- Is psychic and one of Lucy's best friends, she always seems to know when something is going on and she likes Leo.

Daisy- Daisy is another of Lucy's best friend, she's supposed to like Dylan but keeps having random fights with him.

Dylan- Dylan likes Daisy but always seems to get the wrong end of the stick, and throwing an egg box on her head is his idea of humour, he also can't keep his mouth shut.

Hopefully you're getting to know the book better and this will tell you whether you'd enjoy the book or not or actually decide to read it!
What do you think?

Graffiti Moon Update!

Hey,

I haven't particularly been enjoying this weeks read but found it better then I thought it'd be.

I do find it the plot quite pointless?

I mean there's a girl, Lucy, looking for a painter, Shadow, who she thinks will love her and she'll love him even though she's never seen him. She's seen his paintings and was immdiatly drawn to a guy she's never seen in her life.

Then we find out about Ed, someone Lucy went out with for one day, but by the end of the date, she ended up breaking his nose and running back to her house leaving him in the gutter.

The surprising part of the book, which we find out RIGHT at the beginning, is that Ed is Shadow but Lucy isn't aware of this.

One thing I am enjoying so far is Leo's one page 'chapters'. He is in fact Poet who goes around with Shadow writing small poems next to each graffiti art Shadow majestically paints. In his 'chapters' Leo writes small poems which I really enjoy reading.

So what do you think so far?

Week 1: Graffiti Moon by Cath Crowley

Graffiti Moon
"Let me make it in time. Let me meet Shadow. The guy who paints in the dark. Paints birds trapped on brick walls and people lost in ghost forests. Paints guys with grass growing from their hearts and girls with buzzing lawn mowers." It’s the end of Year 12. Lucy’s looking for Shadow, the graffiti artist everyone talks about. His work is all over the city, but he is nowhere. Ed, the last guy she wants to see at the moment, says he knows where to find him. He takes Lucy on an all-night search to places where Shadow’s thoughts about heartbreak and escape echo around the city walls. But the one thing Lucy can’t see is the one thing that’s right before her eyes.

For this week I will be reading Graffiti Moon.

I'll be sharing updates while I read and if I'd like to share any interesting points about the book and anything I particularly enjoyed expect a new post!

This book doesn't seem like the typical book I'd enjoy as the whole book is centered around romance (something I hate) and find too cheesy. But I'm going to give it a try.

Expect a lot of books I'd never read but will read especially for Readarama including TUN TUN TUN...
TWILIGHT! the only reason I'm reading that is because I was dared to read it by a soppy twilight lover...
from school...in my class...

Anyway that's my first book for Readarama!!

Remember to join up to!
